The venue for the meeting will be the Geneva Palexpo, Exhibition & Congress Centre.
The Congress Centre is located 10 minutes from Geneva’s city centre and is served directly by the international airport (100 direct flights), international railway station and motorway network.
The Exhibition Area will be in Hall 1 on level 1 of the Congress Centre, along with the registration desks, posters and catering.

Exhibition
Exhibition Area Information
The ISTH 2007 Exhibition, featuring commercial mdisplays of International Organisations, Pharmaceutical Companies, Media Publishers and Scientific Societies, will be located in Hall 1 of the Congress Centre. The Registration desk, catering facilities and Poster Sessions will also be located in the exhibition hall.

Participants can use the message desk situated in the Exhibition Area.

Food & Beverage
Coffee Breaks
Coffee breaks are included in the registration fee and will be served in the Exhibition Area to delegates from Friday to Thursday during the session breaks.
Lunch
Participants will have Lunch Vouchers included in their documentation. These Vouchers can only be used in the Lunch area in the Exhibition.
There is a public restaurant in the Congress Centre.

Language
English is the official Congress language.

Official Carrier

Swiss International Air Lines is the official carrier for the ISTH World Congress and is offering special congress fares to all participants. These congress fares offer reductions of up to 25% depending on the fare type, route and space availability. Poster Sessions
Poster sessions will be located in Hall 1 of the Congress Centre, adjacent to the Exhibition Area. They should be mounted on the assigned board in the Poster Display area. Please contact the registration desk for the necessary material. The authors should be present in the poster area during Poster viewing time for free discussion.
From Sunday 8 July to Wednesday 11 July, a Poster Cocktail will start poster viewing at 17:15.

Registration & Badges
Please go to the Congress website at www.isth2007.com for on-line registration. The other option is to print the PDF
file of the registration form and send it to the Organising Secretariat either by fax or by mail once completed.
All participants, including speakers and chairmen, must submit a completed registration form.

Badges
Name badges must be visible and used at all times, anywhere at the Congress centre.

Rules
Smoking Policy
The ISTH 2007 Congress is a non-smoking event. Participants are kindly requested to refrain from smoking in the Congress venue, including the Exhibition Area.

Mobile Phones
Delegates are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones in the off position in the rooms where scientific and educational sessions are being held, as well as during poster sessions.

Speaker’s Preview Room
Speakers are asked to give their formatted disks (PowerPoint presentations) to the Speaker’s Preview Room centre at least two hours before their session. All conference rooms contain state-of-the-art technical equipment.

Transportation
During ISTH 2007, the Congress badge will grant participants free use of the Geneva public transport network. For more details on the Geneva public transport network please visit: www.tpg.ch

There will be an ISTH 2007 Welcome Desk at the airport on Friday, 6 July 2007 and Saturday, 7 July 2007 from 08.00 - 20.00. A shuttle bus from the airport to the Conference Centre will be available on these 2 days.

By taxi, the airport is only about 15 minutes from the city centre, and immediately adjacent to the Conference Centre as well as to Cointrin railway station (the airport is 6 minutes from Cornavin Central railway station (city centre)). There are also very frequent and quick connections to Nyon and Lausanne by train.

Visa
Participants requiring a visa for entry to Switzerland are strongly advised to make their application in their home country at least three months before the intended date of travel. If in doubt, information can be obtained from your nearest Swiss Embassy or Consulate or from your travel agency. Should you need a letter of invitation to obtain an
entry visa for Switzerland, it will be a pleasure for MCI to send it to you.
Please be informed that for some countries a visa/passport for France is required for certain excursions.
