The Scientific Programme Committee invites abstracts of original contributions for oral and poster presentation.
Submission of abstracts must be done via the Congress website: www.isth2007.com
The deadline for submitting abstracts is 2 February 2007.
Authors will be notified by 30 March 2007.

Awards for 2007-2009
Research fellowships will be awarded in conjunction with the ISTH Congress for Post-Doctoral Fellows or new faculty (Instructor or Assistant Professor equivalent). Authors of accepted proposals are invited to speak on the topic of “Pediatric or Pregnancy-Related Thrombosis.” Separate awards will be distributed for Basic Studies and for Clinical Research proposals. Awards will be distributed for two years equalling a $20,000 salary support for each year. The second year’s support is dependent on documented progress during the first year.

Award 2007
Are you engaged in recombinant factor VIIa research?
As part of our continued commitment to research in the field of haemostasis management, Novo Nordisk is once again sponsoring the prestigious Novo Nordisk Haemostasis Award.
Presented every two years, this important award acknowledges outstanding and original clinical or preclinical research paving the way towards better understanding of the mode of action or the therapeutic potential of recombinant factor VIIa. The winning entry will be judged on its scientific merit, originality and impact on clinical practice. We are now inviting abstracts from all scientists working in the field of haemophilia with recombinant factor VIIa.
The winner of the award will be announced during the XXI Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), which is being held in Geneva, Switzerland from 6 - 12 July 2007. The submitting author of the winning abstract will be awarded €15.000.

Continuing Medical Education Accreditation
ISTH 2007 is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide CME activity for medical specialists.The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spends in the educational activity. EACCME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact AMA.
The EACCME has granted 27 European CME credits (ECMEC) to the congress.
The Swiss Society of Angiology has granted 33.5 credits to the congress.

State-of-the-Art Book and CD-Rom
Full manuscripts of Plenary Lectures and State-of-the-Art Lectures will be published in book and CD-Rom formats. Participants will receive these on-site at the Congress.
Abstracts
Abstracts will be published on CD-Rom and will be distributed at the Congress. Abstracts will be available on the Congress website prior to the event.
