Message from the Scientific Programme Committee Chairman

Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The Scientific Programme Committee is now preparing an invited speaker programme of Plenary, State-of-the-Art and Symposia speakers that we hope you will find innovative and exciting. In selecting the speakers we have had extensive input from the International Advisory Board who suggested new topics and contributions from all parts of the world, in addition to proposals for updating familiar areas. A wide range of basic and clinical aspects will be dealt with in a schedule that should cover all your interests.
As well as the invited speaker programme, talks and posters selected from your abstracts make up an essential part of the meeting. We look forward to receiving your abstracts by 2 February 2007, which will then be graded by an international panel of reviewers for selection as oral communications or posters.
The Scientific Programme Committee looks forward to welcoming you in Geneva to an interesting and stimulating Congress presenting the best work from across our field.
